Jennifer Sobjak, LSW

Jennifer is a Licensed Social Worker based in Hanover, Pennsylvania, offering compassionate, trauma-informed therapy to clients across the state both in person and online. With over 20 years of experience working with children, teens, adults, and families, Jennifer brings deep clinical knowledge and a relatable, down-to-earth style to her work. She believes that therapy should feel safe, supportive, and empowering and that every person already holds the strength they need to grow and heal.

Jennifer works with a wide range of concerns, including trauma, anxiety, emotional regulation, and life transitions. She’s known for her individualized, strengths-based approach, drawing from DBT, mindfulness, and person-centered care. She values letting clients lead the way in therapy, always meeting them where they are. In the first session, she invites clients to share both their strengths and the things they feel are holding them back, starting with what matters most to them.

Clients often describe Jennifer as warm, open, and collaborative. She brings not just clinical experience, but real-life understanding, balancing a career, motherhood, and caregiving. She connects easily with people and proudly offers affirming, culturally sensitive care for LGBTQIA+ individuals and diverse communities.

Outside of the office, Jennifer loves gardening, raising animals on her family’s growing farm, and spending time with her husband and children. She enjoys live music, spontaneous road trips, and driving with the top down on her Jeep (especially when the sun is shining).

Jennifer sees clients in Hanover and surrounding areas, and offers telehealth therapy throughout Pennsylvania.
